It seems that every month if not every week, different manufacturers are coming with the latest digital cameras to attract potential customers. And not just the job for us!
After spending much time at the mall to find out what the best digital camera for us, we finally have enough money to buy that eye-popping, 7 mega pixel, 10x digital zoom, potable, candy colored, up to 512MB of expandable memory super-SD memory card, high speed and not to mention laptops, (which will be the envy of almost everyone we know). We march to the mall armed with our life savings and pride ourselves in Joining, when switching from a new champion – eight mega pixel, up to 1G expandable memory, built-in microphone and stereo surround playback video capable, with 22 scenic modes kind of camera. And we sigh because the producer of this amazing gadget claims that this is the best digital camera on the market yet. And so, as we always did the best, armed with our savings and some credit cards, buy the "best digital camera". But once again, that does not last too long, after two months or so, is not "best digital camera".
And what confuses us. What makes a digital camera, digital camera best?
Well factors, there are some things to consider when you search for "best digital camera" for us.
Megapixels. One of the most important features of a digital camera to make the best digital camera category is its mega pixel property. The higher the mega pixels the better the actual photograph will come out. One megapixel equals one million pixels. The image resolution is based on the property mega pixel camera. This means that while it enlarges the image, you should get more detail and less blurry colors.
Size LCD. The best digital camera will always have a large LCD screen to help you frame your subject without having to squint to the viewfinder. This is also useful in reviewing the images, some cameras enable touch and editing features with its LCD screen. A 1.5-inch display is average, a 2-inch LCD screen is good, but the size would be the best 2.5-inch LCD or higher.
ZOOM. Most digital cameras have optical and digital zoom. A higher optical zoom is always better than a higher digital zoom. Digital cameras have generally between 3x to 10x optical. The better the optical zoom, the more it rises to the category of best digital cameras.
Memory card. Always make sure that the memory card is right for your digital camera. There are different types of memory card like the xD, SD, Flash card and the like. And these types of memory cards go with certain types of digital cameras. Memory of course is up there too, in choosing the best digital cameras. Select the memory size is necessary, if you're a photo junkie, you may need more than 32 MB. Memory cards can go up to 1G.
The key to find the best digital camera is to find one that best suits you and your lifestyle. Do not just buy the latest or one that says they are the best digital cameras on the market. You would not want to buy a digital SLR and use with your activities home or family outing and have to carry around?! Or do not want to buy the latest point and shoot camera when you are serious about being a professional photographer. (Of course, you can use this to start, but if you're a beginner photographer once again, do not want to get this type of camera.)
In fact, the best digital camera is about to enjoy and use. Not the kind we leave rotting in its box or after a few weeks of usage or so, up there in the attic.
