The SD850 IS was announced in May 2007 as a replacement for the PowerShot SD700 IS. There is only a relatively subtle upgrade.
Visually the SD850 is virtually indistinguishable from the old model, and only a handful of changes to the specifications of the camera. Worthy of note is the sensor records images 8MP hours instead of 6 and the resolution of 2.5 "screen has been increased to 230,000 pixels. Struck at the heart of "digital" on the SD850 is now the latest generation of Canon's image processor, DIGIC III. With the new processor there come a couple of new features including: Face Detection and Auto ISO Shift useful option.

* 16 shooting modes
* Wide viewing angle 2.5 "LCD screen (230,000 pixels)

Design: —
# Front: – The front of the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS is the sign on the left side with a metal frame Canon logo and name printed pattern. The right side of the front of the camera is a bit 'busiest. The optical zoom lens takes up most of this side. The objective is flat with the rest of the camera body until it is on: the following stretches in three segments. Each segment has a shiny chrome ring around its edge.
# Left side:-The left side of the SD850 does not have any functionality. There are panels half dark and light silver and two small screws.
# Return: – The left side of the rear has a 2.5-inch LCD screen, surrounded by a group dark silver. The LCD panel unifies with another instrument display, optical viewfinder, directly above it. To the right of the optical viewfinder are two small LED lights. Only the right of these is a small power button with its own LED.
# Highlights: – the shutter button is on top of Canon PowerShot SD850 IS. It 'a little' dome, clad in chrome, and surrounded by a zoom ring, which barely moves at all. On the left side of the upper part is "Image Stabilizer" label. They are under the label of five holes that make up the grid.
# Right side:-The right side has a chrome wrist strap eyelet in the center until it curves slightly. A niche underneath the strap does slip a little 'less of a chore. Near the top of a door of plastic instead of a thin strip of rubber. It covers the A / V out port at the top and the USB port on the bottom. Behind it is a small space big enough for the tip of a finger to start the door open.
Down #: – From the bottom, users can see the shape of a wedge of slightly SD850. The wedge is interrupted by fat panel for the LCD screen. Near the right side is a metal tripod cm pellets surrounded to keep the camera from scratches on a tripod mounting plate.
Picture quality – the picture quality was very good in the SD850 IS. The camera took well exposed photos with pleasure, accurate color. The sharpness is in the middle: not too strong, not too soft (and this can be changed if desired). Noise is minimal up to ISO 400, ISO 800 is useful for small prints (ISO 1600, however, is not). Purple fringing was not a problem. The negatives in the department are visible in the image quality of blurred vision and severe redeye, which are common in the class of ultra-compact. Although there is not much you can do the blur (you will not see in all but the largest prints, though), you can use the tool in playback mode to get rid of red eyes.
Results: – camera performance is excellent. The SD850 is ready to resume in about one second, which is above average. The timing of focus were very good, even in low light. Shutter lag was not a problem, and shot to shot delays were minimal. While the rate of rupture is not high, the SD850 can keep shooting at 1.3 frames / second until the memory card becomes full speed. Battery life is average ultra-compact group and, like all Canon cameras, the SD850 is compatible with USB 2.0 high speed.
This camera is a great little convenient camera that is able to hide easily, and goes everywhere we slip easily into a purse or pocket. It 'a great camera to take pictures with flash indoor and outdoor photos. No good to stop the action.
Photos of children and pets running is often confused because of 1 sec / 60. speed. If you need to take low light or action / sports photos, it is better to buy a digital SLR camera on the cheap. The only reason not to give this camera 5 stars because of the noise at high ISO.
